R.I.P., George Carlin

As jay said, I’ve got a seven word eulogy, but this is a clean blog.

However, I will say that as someone who’s always taken pride in his own comedic talents, I’ve always admired George Carlin’s acerbic wit and humor, and I know his talents will be missed.

The Myth About Arctic Drilling

It seems to be a common talking point among some folks in the conservative blogosphere that drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) will solve all our nation’s energy woes, thus lowering the price of a gallon of gas. However, this myth that some on the right would have the rest of [...]

How far will this go?

Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) introduced a resolution last week in the US House of Representatives to impeach President Bush. The Congressman has many articles in his impeachment resolution, from creating a secret propaganda campaign to manufacturing a false case for the War in Iraq to imprisoning children.

The Democrats in both chambers on Capitol Hill [...]

Lazich Votes Against Raises For State Employees

Wisconsin State Senator Mary Lazich is obviously not among my favorite legislators. Putting aside her outrageous belief that Wal-Mart should run our health care system, I also take issue with the conduct of her staff, including the propensity at least one of her staffers has for abusing his vacation leave.

The “Phantom” Recession

As I’ve said time and time again, I’m of the belief that something needs to be done to get our economy back on track, because I don’t think our economy is headed in the right direction. Granted, our economy has not yet met the criteria to be deemed “in a recession,” but I think – [...]

Why father could know best with the take on Debra Bartoshevich

What can I say, I enjoy taking the plunge rather quickly when I get new digs.

When news broke out, I made sure my readers knew about the jaw-dropping decision of a Democratic delegate voting Republican. It’s just, well, unbecoming of being a loyal party member. Then I had dinner with the old man and [...]

Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to all those fathers out there.

On this day, I honor my dad, who died at 21 years old when I was two and a half. Though I don’t remember my dad, he has influenced how I live my life. His passing taught me to live my life to the fullest, and [...]

Clinton Delegate to Support McCain

According to the Milwaukee JournalSentinel, disaffected Hillary Clinton supporter Debra Bartoshevich – a delegate to the DNC National Convention – is planning on voting for Senator John McCain in November:

She said she planned to vote for Clinton at the convention, but in an Obama-McCain match-up in November, “I will not be voting for [...]
