That John McCain, He’s a Classy Guy!

That was my first thought after seeing video of Republican presidential nominee John McCain offering up his wife to compete in the Miss Buffalo Chip contest, a contest at the Sturgis Rally 2008 in Sturgis, South Dakota. Now sure, it may seem like an innocuous comment, except for the fact that the Miss Buffalo Chip pageant has been described as, “essentially a topless beauty pageant. And occasionally bottomless, too” by ESPN writer Jim Caple.

Yeah, that John McCain, he’s a classy guy!

And now that I’m thinking about it, I can’t help but wonder what McCain’s more conservative and religious supporters think about him offering up his wife to participate in a topless “beauty” pageant. I can’t imagine they’d think too highly of that…
