Rush and Burris remind me of our McGees here in Milwaukee. Pathetic excuses for public servants in either case.

BHB, I'm not really terribly surprised Burris went to the courts; I figured that would be his next step once the Illinois SoS refused to certify his appointment. If I were a betting man, I'd say Burris will never be seated as a U.S. Senator.

Because his constitutional right to a Semate appointment are being trampled, Burris is now going to the Illinois Supreme Court in an attempt to force Illinois' SecState to sign his apointment. Is anybody else sick of the whining and self serving of the poverty and race pimps?

Matt, I'm just expressing my opinion when I say he's sold his soul. As for your assertion that I'm a racist, you're certainly entitled to your opinion, however uninformed it might be.

The fact is, Bobby Rush injected race into this situation when he compared the stated unwillingness of the U.S. Senate to seat anyone nominated by Gov. Blagojevich to a lynching simply because Roland Burris happens to be black. The reality is, Democrats in the Senate made it clear they'd refuse to seat anyone, so in comparing that decision (which was made before Burris was announced) to a lynching, Rep. Rush brought race right to the forefront of the situation.

Matt, I don't take issue with Roland Burris being nominated for the vacant U.S. Senate seat in Illinois; I just take issue with the fact that he was nominated by a man who's alleged to have put the seat up for sale to the highest bidder.

Oh, and there's no need for name calling here; we're all adults and we should be able to have a civil debate.

Just because you say he sold his soul doesn't mean he sold his soul.

And what's it got to do with his race (or as you racists like to say, "playing the race card")

I'm thinking you don't like being called a racist, and I'm willing to admit I can't see into your soul to tell whether you have sold it or not. But it is you who is injecting race into it, far more than Bobby Rush (thanks for being all progressive and shit, now tell the people how many minorities are in the Senate. Whitey).

Stop embarassing yourself.
