Zach…I don’t think this is funny.
It seems to me that he’s much better at painting a doomy and gloomy picture of our economy than being a postive cheerleader/used car salesman. But eventually I hope to be proven wrong. Please.
Rich, I don’t think it’s a matter of Obama being better at painting a doomy and gloomy picture of our economy so much as he’s just good at being honest about the state of things.
*This is just rhetorical. I’m not going all personal on you, k?*
If honesty is what we all need, then try it the next time your wife asks how she looks in a (insert your own noun here, because i’m not all offensive like that). But hopefully you get my point. There’s a time and a place for honesty, and there’s a time and a place for tactful spin.
And he’s undeniably very very good at campaigning and running on doom and gloom, I’d call that spin.
I just hope he can also be as talented at tact and being a positive advocate (spin) for the US economy. Really I want him to succeed. We can’t afford for him not to. But c’mon, chop chop, let’s get to it. Let’s stop with the doom and gloom stuff and get this recovery started.
