Feds investigating census worker death

The FBI is investigating the hanging death of a U.S. Census worker near a Kentucky cemetery. According to the Associated Press, a law enforcement official indicated the word ‘fed” was scrawled on the dead man’s chest.

The body of Bill Sparkman, a 51-year-old part-time Census field worker and teacher, was found Sept. 12 in a remote patch of the Daniel Boone National Forest in rural southeast Kentucky. The Census has suspended door-to-door interviews in rural Clay County, where the body was found, pending the outcome of the investigation.

Clearly, the anti-government sentiment being spewed by some on the right isn’t having any impact on the folks out there in America who were already anti-government.

EDIT: According to at least one report, Sparkman had a rope tied around his neck, but his feet were touching the ground.

I read the title and thought, “Duh, of course they’re investigating.” But the rest of the post, not nearly so benign.

You do realize how completely irresponsible and quite frankly, stupid it is to throw accusations out tying motives to anything at this point. Talk about speculation and jumping to conclusions before all – heck, before hardly any of the facts are in.

You could end up being right for all I know. But unless you know more than what’s being published, it’s way, way too early for using this to support an agenda.

I think it is prime time for pot harvesting and he may have stumbled into such a situation.
