Heh. How fitting that he lost to Daniel Webster. Rumor has it that the Huffington Post picked him up. They deserve each other.

At least Florida got rid of him. His career was a skid mark on the jockey shorts of American politics.

I find it interesting that you can seem to find every obscure and/or controversial comment from candidates around the country you disagree with, but somehow the comments of Rep. Grayson escape you and you can’t seem to find the stories.

For the record, in my first try at a reply, I posted a few links, but when I hit submit, it said something about how my message looked like spam and rejected it. I may try to post again, otherwise I think you are familiar with google. But there’s probably not much reason to discuss further if you are in agreement with Grayson that Republicans want people to die.

Whopper: Daniel Webster is un-American. Webster’s opponent for the House seat in Florida’s 8th Congressional District, Democrat Alan Grayson, falsely claimed that Webster was a draft dodger who “doesn’t love his country.” In fact, Webster dutifully reported for the draft after finishing his undergraduate degree, but was rejected for medical reasons. Grayson then launched an ad calling his opponent “Taliban Dan” and misrepresenting a quote in which Webster talked about a woman’s role in marriage. The ad’s misleading editing changed “don’t pick the [Bible verses] that say, ‘She should submit to me’ ” into “she should submit to me.

Seems just a little hypocritical, don’t you think? He calls his opponent a member of the Taliban. He blantantly lied about his oppononent by manipulating a speech and used it in an ad. He trashed his opponent’s lack of military service, despite having none of his own. He said Republicans want the sick to die quickly. He called Republicans knuckel-dragging Neanderthals. He called Republicans NAZIS. He said he can’t listen to anything Dick Cheney says because of the blood that drips from his teeth when he’s talking. He called a woman official at the Federal Reserve a K-Street whore.

How can you have any credibility going after supposed crazy/controversial statements from candidates who have R’s after their names, when you are a fan of this nut? I guess anything goes, including keeping your mouth shut, for BIG D.

Absolutely true, but you forgot to mention the fact that you’re then saddled with a hefty emergency room bill, which likely totals in the thousands of dollars.

The thought of thousands of dollars of medical bills is enough to dissuade a lot of folks from seeking help.
