MyDD has some good news from Public Policy Polling on the Russ Feingold election front. In a series of projected match ups with candidates including Tommy Thompson, Terrence Wall and Dave Westlake, Russ leads the way.

45% of all respondents and 25% of Republicans view Thompson negatively.

    As I’ve written elsewhere, Tommy! won’t jump into a U.S. Senate race against Russ Feingold. Thompson’s ego won’t let him be one of one hundred U.S. Senators, and he’d struggle as a backbench freshman Senator. However, I could see Tommy! running for governor one more time…
