Go Whitewater!

To say the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks are a Division III football powerhouse would be an understatement. The team has appeared in every Division III national championship game since 2005, winning one national championship, and this season the team had an undefeated record of 10 wins and no losses, outscoring their opponents by an average of 45-8. As Mike Hunt wrote today, the team is making some noise in the Division III playoffs, having crushed Lakeland College 70-7 in the opening round of the playoffs before beating Illinois Wesleyan 45-7 in the second round.

UW-Whitewater will play undefeated Wittenberg University in the D-III quarterfinals, and if I were a betting man, I’d say Whitewater will prevail, moving one step closer to the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl.
