SEWRPC spends big bucks on dinner
As first noted by James Rowen, the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC) spent nearly a thousand dollars for a recent dinner for staff members at the University Club. It’s important to note SEWRPC’s entire budget comes from local, state and federal taxpayers. However, despite being a taxpayer-funded entity, I haven’t seen one peep from the usual suspects on the right-wing who’d be absolutely screeching if taxpayer dollars were wasted in such a manner by a left-leaning public entity.

I’m not pulling anyone’s leg, nor am I calling them hypocritical double standard loons; I just think it’s odd that they’re not outraged at this waste of taxpayers’ money.
Wow…$60 per person for dinner. As my daughter and I are looking for places to have a reception dinner…pinching pennies….for when she gets married…and here these jerks are wasting our money on their dinner. Unreal.
Yeah, $60 seems like an awful lot, and what gets me is that it doesn’t seem to be a story anyone cares about. I know $1,000 is just a drop in the bucket for many agencies, but that’s a lot of money to me.
Me too. I wouldn’t begrudge anyone spending their OWN money on a $60 dinner…but where do they get off spending our money like that??
