Edwards admits to paternity
Former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards finally came clean and admitted he is the father of former mistress Rielle Hunter’s daughter Quinn:
“I am Quinn’s father. I will do everything in my power to provide her with the love and support she deserves. I have been able to spend time with her during the past year and trust that future efforts to show her the love and affection she deserves can be done privately and in peace.
“It was wrong for me ever to deny she was my daughter and hopefully one day, when she understands, she will forgive me. I have been providing financial support for Quinn and have reached an agreement with her mother to continue providing support in the future.”
To say John Edwards is a dirtball would be an understatement.

I think “sleazebag” would be more apt. When I was in high school, “dirtball” was the term for the kids who smoked pot and wore AC/DC t-shirts. To call John Edwards one of them is an insult to dirtballs.
What about scumbucket?
I think Elizabeth Edwards and Rielle Hunter deserves some of the criticism too.
Why is Elizabeth Edwards to blame? I will definitely agree that Hunter is also to blame for knowingly seducing a married man. John Edwards is additionally to blame for trying to conceal everything until the last possible moment that it would be revealed/made public anyway. It was pretty obvious way-back-when that this was his child, but he chose to get a staffer to lie for him and steal diapers for paternity tests. All while trying to be President!!! Unforuntely politics, and the world, are in no shortage of dirtballs, scumbags, or whatever you want to call them.
Elizabeth knew Quinn was John’s baby. She was more than happy to continue with her life (with John) pretending Quinn didn’t exist. Personally…I find that unacceptable.

You’re welcome. I do not like it when women encourage or enable their husbands/boyfriends to be deadbeat dads. I am a firm believer the child is the innocent one and the grown-ups need to act like grown-ups and circle the wagons around the children and make sure they never feel unloved or unwanted.
