…if Republicans in the Senate really do care about making good fiscal decisions, why did every single Republican in the U.S. Senate vote against reestablishing “pay-as-you-go” budgeting rules mandating that any new spending must be paid for? As Josh Marshall of TPM notes, the rule passed on a 60-40 party line vote.
