  1. I’ve noticed a startling indifference by children to holidays like this. It’s really saddening to me. I suppose when I was a child it might have been the same way though, but it’s chilling now that I’m older and notice it.

    It’s definitely important to remember those who served to keep us free.

    1. Yeah, I suppose that’s a product of parents not teaching their kids the meaning of these holidays, either because of apathy or because the parents themselves don’t remember the meaning.

  2. As a Boy Scout I was always in attendance for a ceremony at the cemetery.
    Anyway, the people that know the significance vs. the ones that don’t are probably at about the same ratio as they have always been, but it’s something important to think about.
