A couple of endorsement-related notes

Just a couple of endorsement-related tidbits that caught my eye:

Milwaukee County Supervisor Chris Larson, who’s running to unseat fellow Democrat Jeff Plale in 7th Wisconsin Senate District, received another endorsement of his candidacy by a fellow County Supervisor, with County Supervisor Gerry Broderick endorsing Larson’s candidacy. Broderick’s district includes the east side of Milwaukee, [...]

Sen. Feingold issues statement on SCOTUS gun control decision

Shortly after the U.S Supreme Court issued its decision in McDonald v. Chicago a case in which the City of Chicago’s ban on handguns was challenged, Senator Russ Feingold issued a statement in support of the Supreme Court’s decision: “I am pleased that the Supreme Court has held that the Second Amendment applies equally to [...]

A tale of two fundraising emails

tonight’s the deadline for campaigns to get their fundraising numbers submitted, and needless to say anyone who follows the campaigns of the various candidates running for Governor, Lt. Governor, U.S. Senate, House of Representatives, and everything else is getting bombarded with fundraising appeals. Typically I don’t pay attention to such appeals, but two fundraising emails [...]

How much money does Ron Johnson really have to spend on his U.S. Senate campaign?

It’s been rumored that Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ron Johnson may not have enough liquidity to pour 10 to 15 million dollars of his own money into his U.S. Senate campaign, as he previously said he’d do, and it’s also been speculated that Johnson’s overstated wealth may be one of the reasons he’s delayed filing [...]

Byrd’s presentations were from another era, back before television cameras and before politics was distilled to 140 [...]

Sen. Al Franken talks about judicial activism

Watch as Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) talks about the judicial activism of the Roberts Supreme Court: Judicial activism isn’t just confined to “liberal” judges, but I’m betting you won’t hear many conservatives lamenting about the judicial activism of the Roberts Supreme Court; after all, that’s the right kind of judicial activism!

Chris Larson endorsed by Supervisor Dimitrijevic

Yesterday Milwaukee County Supervisor Marina Dimitrijevic, who represents the 4th District, announced her endorsement of Chris Larson’s candidacy for the State Senate in the 7th District: Marina Dimitrijevic, Milwaukee County Supervisor for the 4th District, announced a strong endorsement of fellow Supervisor Chris Larson. Larson is running in the Democratic Primary race for the State [...]

Where’s Walker?

I’ve already noted the terrible tragedy that occurred last week when a portion of the O’Donnell Park parking structure fell off the structure, leaving one person dead and two more injured, and while the jury is still out on the cause of the accident, there are some questions that should be answered, namely, “Where’s Scott [...]
