U.S. Senate candidate and Oshkosh businessman Ron Johnson reportedly owns thousands of dollars of stock in BP. Johnson owns stocks worth between $116,000 and $315,000 in BP, the British petroleum company behind the Gulf oil gusher, according to financial reports filed Friday. Johnson is one of two Republican candidates running for the seat held by [...] Gay marriage and gay civil unions in WI, MA, HI and around the world have faced a bunch of ups and downs over the past couple of weeks, but even with the 2 steps backwards that are applauded by bigots like WI’s Julaine Appling. NOM’s Maggie Gallagher and the FRC’s Tony Perkins; the writing is on the wall – equality for gays and lesbians in all aspects of their life – loving, living, working, fighting… are on their way. Let’s look at the recent developments – 2 Steps Backwards – WI Supreme Court turns down a lawsuit to invalidate the constitutional amendment banning gay marriage or any similar arrangement and HI Governor Linda Lingle vetoes, a civil union bill at the last minute. 1 Step forward – In MA, Judge Lauro finds the Federal DOMA to be illegal. Pagels Jr. may give Greene a run for his money, while [...] Yesterday AL did a great job outlining how Republican Party of Wisconsin Chairman Reince Priebus, who’s been rumored to be a possible replacement for RNC Chairman Michael Steele, got caught in a blatant lie about Sen. Russ Feingold, and I thought I’d take a moment to add my own spin on things. Shortly after the [...] In a recent interview with Politico, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ron Johnson was asked to give his assessment of President George W. Bush’s two terms in office, but instead of giving a straight answer, Johnson declined to answer: “I’ll say just no opinion,” he replied when asked about Bush’s tenure as president. “He has his [...] |
