Ron Johnson is really concerned about tourism in Wyoming!
Have you seen Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ron Johnson’s new tourism policy page on his website?
If you didn’t see it earlier today, chances are you’ll never see it again, because Johnson’s team of crack campaign staffers removed it, probably because it made a lot of references to Wyoming, which isn’t really in Wisconsin:
Curiously enough, shortly after Ron Johnson’s Wyoming-centric tourism policy disappeared from his campaign’s website, it reappeared on the campaign website of Colin Simpson, a Republican running for governor in….you guessed it…..Wyoming!
Obviously the people handling Ron Johnson’s campaign web site aren’t based in Oshkosh – or anywhere else in Wisconsin – and Johnson’s campaign was quick to throw his internet vendor under the bus:
A mistake by a vendor left U.S. Senate candidate Ron Johnson of Oshkosh briefly Wednesday with a statement on his Web site pledging to promote tourism and cut down on wolves in Wyoming.“I have the right plan to deal with the wolf problem and bring management of these predators under the control of the people of Wyoming,” the statement reads.
Johnson spokeswoman Kristin Ruesch said that the statement was mistakenly posted by an employee of Harris Media, which handles Web sites for both Johnson and Colin Simpson, a Republican candidate for governor in Wyoming whose campaign had prepared the statement.
Ruesch went on to say the Johnson campaign was seriously consider whether they wanted to continue to use the services of Harris Media, but I personally think the Johnson campaign should seriously consider keeping Harris Media as their internet vendor, because Wyoming tourism is surely a winning issue for Ron Johnson in Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate race!
Jason Haas and the illusory tenant have their own spin on this.
