ROJO strokes again!!!

I figured I had to post this quick, before Reince Priebus tells us what republican senate hopeful Ron Johnson really means.

Ron Johnson recently enlightened us that global warming is caused by sunspots. Now he is back with more Wisdom for the kids:

“There’s a reason Greenland was called Greenland,” Republican candidate Ron Johnson said. “It was actually green at one point in time. And it’s been, since, it’s a whole lot whiter now.”

Its not easy being green…

Stay tuned this week as ROJO tells us more interesting world trivia:

Afghanistan is known for their world class Afghans.

Hungary because of a shortage of food at one time.

Turkey is well known for supplying the bird we love to eat on Thanksgiving!

Stay tuned for this and many more…

  1. lulz.
But can we get Ron to stop expounding on Climatology and somehow get him to move on to Astronomy?

I’d love to hear him natter on about Uranus.

  2. “We have shown for the first time that southern Greenland, which is currently hidden under more than 2km of ice, was once very different to the Greenland we see today,” said Professor Eske Willerslev from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and one of the authors of the paper.

“What we’ve learned is that this part of the world was significantly warmer than most people thought,” added Professor Martin Sharp from the University of Alberta, Canada, and a co-author of the Science paper.

    1. Forgot…that may be true…but it isn’t why Greenland is named Greenland. When the Norse explorers named it they weren’t privy to 21st Century science papers about the earth 450,000 years ago…of course as I’ve pointed out, current right of the aisle thinking holds that the earth is 6,000 years old.

      1. Shouldn’t left of aisle thinking hold that the earth is 6000 years old? I mean, that would have to be true if the climate hasn’t never ever changed until the last century.

It doesn’t matter why Greeland is called Greenland. You are taking the statement much too literally. Johnson’s point was that it used to be wamer there, but now it’s not. Why?

        1. There’s a reason Greenland was called Greenland,” Republican candidate Ron Johnson said. “It was actually green at one point in time.”

Taking his quote too literally? He simply said Greenland was called Greenland because it was at one time green. It can’t be taken any other way. Although Greenland was at one time in history green particularly when compared to today…and certainly the earth is older than 6,000 years, it isn’t called Greenland because it was once Green…those facts weren’t in evidence when it was named.

And no one of us has denied that the climate has changed any number of times historically…but we are saying current climate changes certainly have a man made component.

          1. reince priebus must be busy because I havent seen the this is what ron johnson really meant press release. Forgot was doing it for him.

  3. “As I sit here today under a mile thick sheet of Solid Ice, It amazes how 10,000 years from now it will be a thriving community with buildings, Sailboats Hwy’s and streetlights, and 6 kinds of cable and satellite T.V.. with Cell phones. I just can’t wait.”

published by Ug the Cave/Iceman circa 8,000 B.C.E.

Even if Global Climate is “changing”, and clearly it is. No one can say it has anything to do with human activity! Even if it was warming is that really bad? Can anyone identify for me what day, or year, or decade or even millenia in history (Whether it be 6000 years or 5 billion years) was the perfect climate? When was the “Perfect” time frame..and how do we know were not actually in it right now?

Ron Johnson idea that Sunspots cause change is much more plausible than any crazy crap Russ Feingold and ALGORE might be dribbling from their collective mouths.

In Wiscosnin I believe we have not seen a day over 100 degrees in 5 years? very few days of -10 degrees in most of the state. 2 of the past 3 years SE Wisconsin got more snow than Superior. Weather cycles. and records are always broken.. More Rain/ Less Rain…More Snow Less snow..warmer/ colder..etc. We have barely 60 years of real data to rely on..if the planet is 6000 years old thats a sliver of time..If the Planet is 5 Billion years it’s not even a blink. Jumping to a conclusion that your going “Blind” because you “blink”ed is asinine. But media hype and the folks that want control your life on the left and will scream the Sky is falling over a single days “record” temp in central Iowa.
