Compare/Contrast

I am going to do something I have never done before and use a Democratic party press release as a source. With our corporate press I was not able to confirm and ROJO has not denied, so I am going to assume this press release is based in fact.

That being said, nothing could compare/contrast the two people running to be the next Senator from our great state of WI. There is the incumbent, our Junior Senator Russ Feingold who has only missed on vote in 18 years of serving Wisconsin. Yesterday, despite the echo chamber saying otherwise, Senator Feingold flew flew in to meet President Obama.

His challenger, Ron Johnson, was in Washington DC, at a $1,000 per plate fundraiser, hosted by true Washington insiders Jon Kyl and Paul Ryan.

So while the supposed Washington “insider” was flying to Wisconsin to be with the citizens of Wisconsin, the Washington “outsider” was flying to DC to have the ultimate career politician(Jon Kyl), help him raise outside money to influence the Wisconsin election.

Looks like the choice is clear to me. If you can afford a $1000 lunch, vote ROJO, if you can’t then lets send Russ back to represent us. He has earned it!

  1. A supposed corporate press has nothing to do with confirming a bogus DPW press release. “Despite the echo chamber…” — sure, they were only taking what Feingold and his own staff said at their word! Gee, how DARE they!

So you pick one day to make a comparison. Yep real fair. It’s only fair if Sen. Feingold NEVER EVER took a $1000 contribution or held a fundraiser. And if you are contrasting, what’s so special about Russ flying in for a few minutes to pal around with an unpopular President on a campus with a bunch of liberal out-of-state kids? You act like he graced us with his presence to cure cancer or something.

So you picked September 28 to compare and contrast. To be fair, I hope you compare and constrast each and every day of the rest of the campaign. Since I’m sure your hated “corporate media” won’t do the job, it’s the least you can do since you started this brilliant idea (and by brilliant idea I mean cut and paste a back Democrat press release).

Either your posts are getting dumber or I’m getting more fed up.

    1. PP, I apologize for the “dumber” line at the end of my post. I try to avoid making the personal attack at all costs, but I guess the content got under my skin a bit and I got a little worked up and flew off the handle. I regret typing what I did and I hope you can take the rest of my comment and know I do not mean to denegrate the author. Here’s to cooler heads prevailing, especially before the election.

  2. Thanks forgot, and trust me I dont take any of it personally. Which is good because ever since I started blogging here i have had some crazy stuff too.

Sometimes i see something so clearly, I have a hard time relaying it. My point here is, rojo has been campaigning from the beginning that he is not a washington insider, he will do things differently, etc… Yet he runs to DC and has Jon Kyl who is the ultimate insider(senator since the 80’s – father was in congress, etc…) raise tons of money for him. Does this sound outsider or business as usual just a different letter after your name? If he goes to Washington, will he do the people of Wisconsins bidding or Jon Kyl now that he owes him? Thats the point I was trying to get across, it goes against everything he has been “advertising”.

  3. People in glass houses should not throw stones. As pointed out before Russ is a friend of the far left hollywood elite and they have spent thousands of their dollars to support his losing bid for re election. It is an easy choice this election vote russ and nothing changes extreme liberalism rules or Ron Johnson to tell liberals we are no longer accepting their corrupt morals and values.

Among Feingold’s contributors are filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Harvey Weinstein, actors Michael Douglas and Edie Falco, as well as music executive David Geffen, and producer Jeffrey Katzenberg and his wife, Marilyn, according to CQMoneyLine.com.

Writer and producer Tom Fontana, creator of the television series “Homicide: Life on the Street” and “Oz,” also ponied up for Feingold, as did actress Kathryn Erbe, who has appeared in “Law and Order” and “Oz.”

In fact, Weinstein, Douglas and Fontana all gave donations that were over the $5,000 legal limit per cycle and had to be reimbursed for the surplus.

  4. Sorry PP but you missed the point of the post and it wasn’t about adoration of far left liberal hollywood millionaire friends of russ. It is about the facts who russ is owing too when it comes to his votes and it is clear by his votes it is not the people of Wisconsin

  5. Hmmmm I look at his votes and see that he has stood up for the people of WI. Especially in terms of his votes for the working class people and against our “free” trade deals. As someone who grew up in the Beloit area, i have seen firsthand the devastation that Nafta has wrought on our state.

Compare/contrast while Feingold has also seen it and worked to stop it, ROJO advocates for it and champions it as “creative destruction”.

  6. Well here is the proof he does not represent Wis. Maybe Dane county and the southeast corner of the state but not the remaining

    Senator Russell Feingold
    Democrat of Wisconsin
    Progressive Rating: 78/100
    Conservative Rating: 5/100

  7. In a blue state where the progressive movement is strong, are you saying his 78 rating is too low?

  8. I guess we will see how strong the progressive movement is. Just like 98 russ will need Dane county to save him and its very unlikely the turnout is going to be there for him. Wis is ready to return to its conservative roots, Kagen will be gone russ will be gone and the only bastion of the liberalism will be the few counties where entitlements are used as a lifestyle.
