Five ways for the big three to cut the deficit!

With the recent election results of republicans taking over the House and also the State of Wisconsin, it is time to lower the deficit. With Paul Ryan(R-Wall St.), Jim Sensenbrenner(R- Tampons) and Tom Petri (R-WI) just banded together(being fiscal conservatives and deficit hawks) to come up with a proposal to STOP THE TRAIN! Their proposal is to use the rail money to reduce the federal budget deficit.

In a joint statement, U.S. Reps. Jim Sensenbrenner, Tom Petri and Paul Ryan wrote: “We support Governor-elect Walker’s effort to put the brakes on the high-speed rail budget boondoggle, which is why we introduced legislation, today, that would give states the ability to return federal funds obligated to high-speed rail projects, and instead use this money to reduce our nation’s $1.6 trillion deficit and $13.8 trillion debt. This high-speed rail project is a bad investment for taxpayers and our state simply cannot afford it.”

I applaud their efforts to look out for the taxpayers(ie yours and mine) tax dollars. While its admirable what these hawks are doing, I would like to offer up some more ideas to help “reduce our nation’s $1.6 trillion deficit and $13.8 trillion debt.”

While we saw that republican Andy Harris, is a hypocrite when it comes to health care, I am certain our 3 hawks are not. I expect the 3 Congressmen(along with Sean Duffy and especially Ron Johnson) to forgo their taxpayer funded health care plans. As a matter of fact, all republicans(except Andy Harris) and democrats who campaigned against health care, to give up their benefits. The savings can go right into controlling the debt! Thanks guys now I know your serious.

While this is a good start, I have some more ideas($13 trillion is a lot of money). Every single woman who voted for the republicans in this country should at the end of every year, send 30% of their salary to the government to pay down the debt. The Republicans stand united, in letting women know that they are definitely NOT equal to men. So the women that voted for this platform should feel free to send their money to DC to control the deficit!

Finally, A fourth way is to defund the war in Afghanistan, with the public opinion against the war, and we know the republican leadership said they heard the people, this should be easy to stop!

Finally, another way to save our children’s future, would be to cut their own salaries. In these touch economic times, do they need to make $174,000/year?

There are five ideas for the 3 hawks to cut the deficit and debt. I look forward to our fiscal conservatives enacting them all!!!!

  1. Here’s some more ideas.

Cap all govy union workers pay at $50,000.

No more defined pension benefits. They (govy employees) can contribute up to 10% of their salary to a defined contribution plan i.e. 401-K with a government match of up to 3%.

All govy workers contribute 40% of the cost of their health insurance. Make it a “cafeteria” plan so they have some options.

All government legislators (except the President and Cabinet heads) fly coach. If they want to upgrade out of their own pocket, that’s fine by me. No more private jets except as stated. Hope those clowns like getting groped.

Agree with you on the pay issue.

    1. Tampons?

Huh. I don’t like Jim Sensenbrenner mind you for many reasons, and think a republican should just take up the mantle and kick him out. He’s literally one of the worst people representing in the United States, although he’s not corrupt so I suppose he has that working for him. (To my knowledge anyway.)

But I’m curious what that reference is to. Paul Ryan I think is a darling of Wall Street, so I get that bit but what is with tampons?

  2. Sensenbrenner(one of the richest members of congress), like John Raese in WV, made his money the old fashioned way….he inherited it. Sensenbrenner inherited the Kimberly -Clark fortune.

  3. Oh, inherited. You mean like Kerry, Rockerfeller and Kennedy? But I forgot, those are politicians you AGREE with, so there’s nothing wrong with marrying into a tomato fortune.

  4. Hmmmmm….the problem with those three as compared to the three in the story, is they are not relevant. These three represent our state. These three voted against extending unemployment for the working class yesterday and these three won easily as “tea party” conservatives. So lets see them start conserving.

O and FYI – Kennedy is dead.
