Mexico is America’s next Afghanistan?!?

This is just crazy…

With the exception of, perhaps, Texas governor Rick Perry, no public official wants to publicly admit an obvious fact: The United States of America will likely be forced to invade Mexico. It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when. The question then becomes: What to do with Mexico after we invade it and wipe out the drug cartels (as much as can be). Does the United States merely return Mexico to a nation state of corrupt politicians, failed economic policies, and lawlessness, or do we annex Mexico and turn it into the 51st state?

While we’re at it, we might as well go ahead and invade Canada….that way we can secure that pesky northern border once and for all.

  1. Mexico is beyond help. It will continue to just get worse…IMO. I’m really surprised more people don’t speak up or out about Mexico…especially since so many children are killed by the drug cartels. Why don’t we care about the human rights issue for the Mexicans?? They are being KILLED but yet we sit on our hands.

    1. Why don’t we care about the human rights issue for the Mexicans??

Because Mexicans are inferior. I know this because of the vitriol towards NAFTA and the clearly expressed view that any jobs that move from US workers to Mexicans is about the worst thing imaginable.

      1. Inferior in your opinion as humans or inferior in the business perspective or a portion of America’s perspective?

I’m not trying to be nitpicking, but that comment irked me the wrong way. Because I won’t lie, a lot of people do think the hispanic population are lesser human beings even if they are here legally because they’re contributing to the problem so to speak somehow by being here. ( Even if it takes about four to ten years to pass through for them to get proper rights of citizenship. )

I do agree that a lot of people see Mexicans as a problem from the business perspective since they’re taking away American jobs, but that’s a case of illegal hiring which needs to be stopped and businesses should be cracked down harshly for it in proportion to how many illegals they hire.

        1. T – I was being sarcastic. I don’t think Mexicans – those in the US (legally or otherwise) or those in Mexico are inferior in any way to US citizens. But the manner in which I’ve heard NAFTA attacked here & elsewhere has made it very clear that some people do.

          1. Oh. Thank you for clarifying that, Sometimes I can’t tell if someone is actually serious or not online considering a lot of actually racist commentary I see on blog sites that are genuinely serious. 🙂

          2. My attacks on NAFTA have nothing to do with any inferiority on the part of Mexicans; I just think it’s been a bad deal for American workers.

  2. There’s no advantage at all to invading either Mexico or Canada. We should, instead, invade Norway.

They have lots of oil which they’ve nationalized so they’re obviously Godless commies. The national oil wealth and the Godless commies have driven the Norwegian citizenry into a torpid state of false contentment, as evidenced by various world indices that routinely show Norway to be one of the most peaceful and happy places on earth.

Norwegians live under state oppressions such as national health care, paid maternity leaves, 3-4 weeks paid vacation, free child dental care, and a whole slew of similar indignities attached to one of the most well developed social safety nets in the world. We simply cannot let this stand. Just think of the suffering they endure. We must liberate them immediately.

And it should be very cost effective and easy.

First of all, they’ll never see it coming. Norway is used to watching America launch barbaric wars against countries notoriously difficult to conquer. We can catch them by complete surprise.

Also, our special forces can infiltrate the countryside and go almost completely unnoticed since all of us are caucasian.

Lastly, since they’re a bunch of damned peaceniks, it’ll be a breeze. Gone are the days of stout Norwegian resistance to the Nazi occupation. The Godless Commies have made them all soft!

America needs to start getting smart about our wars and occupations.

    Invade Norway!!

  3. I forgot to mention that Norway is also running a budget surplus, which means that they aren’t paying exorbitant debt service to international banks, which further shows their utter disregard for the welfare of bankers, and capitalism, in general. Need I say more?

  4. All snarky satire aside, I would absolutely love to hear from this blogs conservatives on the Norwegian brand of democratic socialism. I’d absolutely love to hear why we must prevent, at all costs, this kind of economic/political system from taking root in the United States of America. Let’s hear it folks.

    1. I’m betting the argument you’ll get – if they even bother to give you one – will be that socialism constitutes a sacrifice of our freedom.

    2. There must be something wrong with Norway. Where I live they tell Norwegian jokes and if you have seen an episode of Red Green you will understand why there are jokes about Norwegians in rural areas.

  5. I think we should also invade Oklahoma while we’re at it. It’s the site of the second most deadly terrorist attack on American soil, and much like the argument about Saddam Hussein, the world would be much better off without Tom Coburn and Jim Inhofe.
