Another video from the rallies in support of public employees

I saw this and I felt compelled to share:

Why did Jeff Stone vote to send $46 million in transit funds out of Wisconsin?

After voting yesterday in support of Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal to gut collective bargaining rights for Wisconsin’s public employees (a vote that may result in the loss of $46 million in federal transit funding for Wisconsin), far-right conservative Milwaukee County Executive candidate Jeff Stone boarded the Milwaukee County Transit Route 23 bus, presumably to show [...]

Just a reminder – “Rally to Save the American Dream” tomorrow!

I posted this earlier today, but I just wanted to make sure it gets “out there.”

This Saturday, rallies are being organized here in Wisconsin and all across the country to stand in solidarity with Wisconsin’s public employees, thanks to MoveOn.org: In Wisconsin and around our country, the American Dream is under fierce attack. Instead [...]

From Washington With Love….

Scott Walker is lying when he says that all of the protesters at the Capitol are from out of state, as every state is busy having their own protest! This is from Washington State! Solidarity!

Thank you to our Washington brothers and sisters…

Really Bad Reporting, Leads to Really Really Bad Governing…

I mentioned recently that David Cay Johnston recently weighed in on the situation in Wisconsin where he pointed out:

The average Wisconsin state employee gets $24,500 a year. That’s not a very big pension. The state pension plan, 15% of the money going into it each year is being paid out to Wall Street [...]

Biddy and the Regents….

Sing this one to the tune of Benny and the Jets… I was at a meeting earlier today and someone told me that there was a rumor that the Regents were going to fire Biddy for insubordination. That doesn’t seem to be the case yet as can be seen in this video from Madison.com. [...]

Brave New Films – Koch Brothers & Walker Destroying the American Dream

I’ll be at the rally in Madison tomorrow at 3:00 pm. The shenanigans of the imperial Governor of WI and his paymasters the Koch Brothers have simply gone way too far. I’m a progressive, pro-business, pro-economic development, pro-jobs supporter and I find Walker’s actions and that of his rubber stamping toadies in the GOP-led Assembly and Senate despicable. That he wants to take collective bargaining rights away from the unions is bad enough, but that H.R.M. Walker thinks he should be given the unquestioned right to sell off Wisconsin’s government owned power plants on a no bid basis is ridiculous and should be patently illegal. [...]

The “Rally to Save the American Dream”

This Saturday, rallies are being organized here in Wisconsin and all across the country to stand in solidarity with Wisconsin’s public employees, thanks to MoveOn.org: In Wisconsin and around our country, the American Dream is under fierce attack. Instead of creating jobs, Republicans are giving tax breaks to corporations and the very rich—and then cutting [...]

Progressives push President Obama to use his bully pulpit

Leading progressives within the Democratic Party, including Congressional Progressive Caucus co-chairs Raul Grijalva and Keith Ellison called for President Obama to get more involved in the fight over public worker rights playing out in Wisconsin and other states across the country: Obama has publicly sided with state and local government employees against laws meant to [...]

Scott Walker’s used to these kinds of conversations…

This is worth a read… It’s not that what he said was all that new, given what anyone with a pair of eyes can see, it’s that at no point during this call, during all these monstrous things, did Walker even THINK this might be a prank. At no point did he say, wait a [...]
