I saw this and I felt compelled to share: After voting yesterday in support of Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal to gut collective bargaining rights for Wisconsin’s public employees (a vote that may result in the loss of $46 million in federal transit funding for Wisconsin), far-right conservative Milwaukee County Executive candidate Jeff Stone boarded the Milwaukee County Transit Route 23 bus, presumably to show [...] I posted this earlier today, but I just wanted to make sure it gets “out there.” This Saturday, rallies are being organized here in Wisconsin and all across the country to stand in solidarity with Wisconsin’s public employees, thanks to MoveOn.org: In Wisconsin and around our country, the American Dream is under fierce attack. Walker thinks he should be given the unquestioned right to sell off Wisconsin’s government owned power plants on a no bid basis is ridiculous and should be patently illegal. [...] This Saturday, rallies are being organized here in Wisconsin and all across the country to stand in solidarity with Wisconsin’s public employees, thanks to MoveOn.org: In Wisconsin and around our country, the American Dream is under fierce attack. Instead of creating jobs, Republicans are giving tax breaks to corporations and the very rich—and then cutting [...] This is worth a read… It’s not that what he said was all that new, given what anyone with a pair of eyes can see, it’s that at no point during this call, during all these monstrous things, did Walker even THINK this might be a prank. At no point did he say, wait a [...] |
