I remember Kindergarten also….
The lack of maturity that the majority party is showing amazes me. The fact that each day they seem to trump the childish acts they did the day before leaves me not only shaking my head but wondering what disgusting act tomorrow will bring.
Despite the fact that they continue to act childish, the fact that they keep using the lives of hard working middle class Wisconsin citizens as a pawns in their childish games is even more disgusting.
I hope that they pay dearly the next time they are up for election (or recall) whatever comes first.
Jason Stein on JSonline is reporting:
Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald is clamping down on absent Democrats by seeking to take control of whether or not their staffers get paid.
Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) would have to review and approve timesheets for Democratic staffers, under a proposal put before a legislative committee Monday morning. Previously, Democratic lawmakers had signed off on their staff’s hours.
I will be calling Senator Scott Fitzgerald (608)266-5660 Fax – (608) 267-6795 and telling him to stop wasting the valuable resources of the State troopers and to pay MY SENATOR. That is my money that he is messing with not his.

With all due respect, the “I’m taking my ball and going home” mentality of the minority party is hardly more mature.
Both sides are acting childish and each has become folk heros to their supporters. Sad.
Since the 14 fleebaggers are not doing what they were elected to do represent ALL of the people in their districts then the staffers should not even be on the clock. There should not even be a payday for them since their bosses are not working it is clear neither are they, just one more way Democrats are stealing from the working people of Wisconsin, paying for more people who do not do their job, like the so many state employees.
Yeah, clearly those staffers aren’t answering phones to take calls from constituents, and clearly they’re not handling emails coming into the offices either.
You really are an idiot.
super once the repubs shut off public debate then the senators were left with no choice. I think my Senator Mark miller is representing me very well.
We’ve had public debate for three weeks. How much more do we need?
IMO, skipping town is an affront to democracy. They are no just as demanding as walker, so there is no moral high ground. The problem is that they don’t have except the votes. If the bill is so bad then I’m sure the unions will have the votes to fix it in the next election. In the mean time, these recall demands ( on both sides,) are as you put it, kindergarten tactics.
The moral high ground is negotiation, one side is willing one side is not
