I think slimy fits better! h/t to talking points memo… High Ground Moralist and possible presidential candidate Newt Gingrich ( who happens to be good friends with our local high ground family values politicians Scott Walker and Sean Duffy), was asked recently about his family values history:
“There’s no question at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate,” said Gingrich.
Words fail me at this point!
Newt is a very smart guy, a good politician and a pretty dreadful human being. Because of the last, I would think he’s unelectable – and have heard many others who agree.
Then again, I thought McCain was unelectable as President due to his…interesting…sense of humor, racial comments and related faux pas, but he got the nomination and was closer in the general than I ever would’ve imagined.
Locke, I agree. I think, unless we dramatically change, every presidential election will be 53-47 or closer NO MATTER who runs.
