A quick question for conservatives screaming about “vote fraud” & “voting irregularities”

So here’s a question for the usual suspects on the right who are screaming about “vote fraud” and “voting irregularities” that they believe tilted the results of the April 5 Supreme Court race in favor of JoAnne Kloppenburg:

Why weren’t you all screaming about “vote fraud” and “voting irregularities” when Republicans were winning races all across Wisconsin in November 2010?

I’m guessing the answer is because there’s only “vote fraud” and “voting irregularities” when your preferred candidates lose.

  1. Wisconsin has the most clean elections in the U.S. and I think that is due to the fact we use paper ballots and don’t immediately destroy them. I do think all the votes were very real on both sides, and just shows how all of us care about this state in our own ways.

I don’t think there is any voter fraud going on because I believe most people would be able to catch it, since a lot of people actually come with their IDs to show out of habit. At first mind you I was suspicious of Waukesha County but I simply came to the conclusion that it sent in Absentee Ballots and they let out the information of who voted what all at once instead of gradually like the rest of the counties. in a sort of – 20,000 absentee ballots, but 80,000 going to vote.

I believe they’re going to recount the ballots, and it will be revealed that it’s all pretty legit. As for the rumors of how over 10,000 More Votes in Dane County (Madison) for Supreme Court Election than County Executive is voter fraud? 60,000 people are in the University of Madison-Wisconsin, so this is important to let sink in. A lot of the people often just vote one race and that’s it. It even happens in my little village, where most of the focus was on the Supreme Court race and not our local race as much.

  2. Our current Attorney General, J. B. Van Hollen (Republican), reviewed the 2008 elections…over 3 million votes were reviewed…less than 30 suspicious ballots…the majority turned out to be felons who were still on parole or probation and mistakenly thought they were allowed to vote. The two actual frauds were prosecuted and hit the papers…but I can’t believe the kicking and screaming going on.

  3. They really need to bring independent people from out of state to recount DANE and MILWAUKEE counties there is no way the people in those counties can be trusted especially with unions controlling the governments in those counties. Corruption and dishonesty would not be a surprise as unions were so desperate to keep their power and the taxpayers under their thumbs this election.

    1. So let me straight, if people are pro-union and believe workers (who pay taxes) should be more than powerless cattle, they are suddenly corrupt and untrustworthy?

I never understand this mentality from the right, as if for-profit corporations are more trustworthy than groups trying to protect worker rights.

    2. They really need to bring independent people from out of state to recount DANE and MILWAUKEE WAUKESHA and WASHINGTON counties there is no way the people in those counties can be trusted especially with unions WMC controlling the governments in those counties. Corruption and dishonesty would not be a surprise as unions corporate fat cats were so desperate to keep their power and the taxpayers under their thumbs this election.

    3. btw: both parties will have observers at the recounts…democracy doesn’t always get the cold shoulder of the locker rooms in the Fitzgeralds’ Capitol building.

    4. Winnebago County’s website are now different from those collected by the AP.

Winnebago County’s numbers say Prosser received 20,701 votes to Kloppenburg’s 18,887. The AP has 19,991 for Prosser to Kloppenburg’s 18,421.

Uh oh – looks like the corrupt WMC thugs found a bag of votes out of thin air.

      1. …just to clarify, I don’t actually believe that. Just demonstrating the vapidity of such claims. Offer proof, in the form of criminal convictions, of voter fraud or don’t use it as a crutch for electoral failure.

    5. Now that officials have “found” 7,500 extra votes in Waukesha County for David Prosser (2 full days after the election, no less) I expect Notalib to call for a full investigation into how those votes were “lost” and then “found.”

        1. Unlike you, I don’t just blindly believe whatever I’m told by a partisan hack like Kathy Nickolaus.

          1. Odd but the head of the Wauhesha DNC was there and she said at the news confernce that the vote total is accurate and that there is nothing unusual to what has happened. Looks like the 7000 will be more than enough to put an end to all of this.

              1. I was wrong as to who it was.

Ramona Kitzinger, the Democrat on the Waukesha County Board of Canvassers, said: “We went over everything and made sure all the numbers jibed up and they did. Those numbers jibed up and we’re satisfied they’re correct.”

“As a Democrat, she said, I’m not going to stand here and tell you something that’s not true.”

    1. Notalib – They want you back at Troll HQ stat.

Be sure to take your paranoid little wingnut conspiracy theories (rightwingers ONLY lose elections because of voter fraud, “dontcha know?”) and fantasies (a Kloppenburg recall) with you when you go.

Before you leave, check out the new comments, directed at you, that I posted under the “Kloppenburg vs. Prosser” article. Never “trolled” the Huffington Post, huh? (*laughing*) Liar.

Notalib, you’re nothing more than a pathetic, mindless, inarticulate, partisan hack peddling/regurgitating the rightwing propaganda you’ve been spoonfed by the Koch brothers and their minions.

After that meeting at Troll HQ, get thee to a wingnut echo chamber, and spare the rest of us here your painful and unthinking inanity, huh?

      1. Koch brothers is that this years DNC talking point for evil? What did you all finally run out of Palin material so now everything is going to be Koch Brothers this, Koch brothers that and this is going to be some kind of insult? I love hw the left gets one focus and they all use it until they get them no where so then the DNC comes up with new talking points to try and hope something.

          (*laughing*) What?!

Anyway, little homey, remember when snotty Scotty got punked, fooled into thinking he was talking on the phone with Charles Koch? Apart from all of the money that the Koch brothers and their shills have poured into Wisconsin politics lately, all you need to know about who is “directing traffic” in rightwing politics was revealed in that phone call.

At the risk of using a word that might be over your head, my misguided wingnut brother, deflection really doesn’t not suffice for argument.

Good luck, Notalib. You’re going to need it.

P.S. Don’t forget to wear your helmet if you ever leave your keyboard and venture outside.

  4. It’s a lot harder to get enough signatures for a statewide seat than a district seat…you’d need…what, 25% of 1.5 million?

  5. Yeah it would never happen but its fun to tweak certain people. Anyway now that Justice Prosser is back in the lead it may not be as bad as first thought. My guess is as more ballots are looked at he will continue to gain.

    1. In Nevada.

There’s been no evidence of widespread vote fraud in Wisconsin, contrary to what conservatives would have us believe.
