Governor Walker, when he was not too busy taking phone calls from who he thought were the Koch Brothers or visiting with Frank Luntz, was busy telling people he campaigned on collective bargaining.
“I campaigned on (the proposals in the budget repair bill for Wisconsin) all throughout the election. Anybody who says they are shocked on this has been asleep for the past two years.”
Even Politifact called him out on his lie. Today someone else called out Scott Walker on his perpetual lying: Scott Walker.
Once again, Walker brought out his tap shoes and did his best to dance around a question. But Rep. Gerry Connelly (D-Va.) kept plugging away. He asked Walker if he had ever brought up repealing workers’ collective bargaining rights during his campaign.
Walker said during debates and speeches he talked about mediation and arbitration changes. Connolly again asked the question and walker continued to weasel around it. Finally:
Connolly: I am asking you a very specific question did you bring up collective bargaining during the campaign.
Walker: No.
Someone get Scott Walker a lifesaver, he is in way over his head in Washington DC!
I am not seeing the lie! I see that he didn’t talk about it, but not the lie. Jeff can you show me the lie?
That is the lie. The lie is not the fact he didn’t talk about it, it’s the fact he said he talked about it.
This is a friggin’ wonderful approach to representative democracy. The representatives stay silent on what they’re going to do, and the “majority” of citizens are silent after they do it.
The majority have been silent because they have supported what the Governor has been doing.

It’s probably Walker who should try to remain silent. Perjury in front of a congressional committee could ruin a guys career.
