Thursday Music – it’s almost summer!

I can feel it….summer is almost here!

Here’s “Summer Breeze” by Seals and Croft. Though it’s a bit before my time, it’s a great song and it certainly makes me think of summer.

  1. Hmm. Well, it’s great to be ancient 🙁
I saw Seals and Crofts in concert back in the day, they performed this song. They were sooo laid back it was almost weird. Then you could stay after while they talked about Baha’i if you wanted. Lol unfortunately now I’m remembering “notable” concerts I went to, like Heart (which was pretty cool), and (this is not a joke) The Bay City Rollers with all the original members. I made a guy who really really didn’t want to see them drive me to Milwaukee (prob’ly Summerfest?), and then sit there trying not to kill himself during the whole thing. I’m still a lot more amused by that whole situation than I probably should be.
Back on topic – probably the most iconic summer song is to me the most horrifying – Margaritaville.
SOO hate that damn thing. Hated it then, hate it now. grrr.
Jimmy Buffet should be strapped in a chair and forced to listen to Muskrat Love for a week straight. Henry Kissinger knew a crap song (and a stupid anecdote) when he heard one –

(please note The “Captain” is a very weird man with his Mating Muskrat keyboard noises.)
