Earlier this afternoon I noted the suspension of liberal radio and TV host Ed Schultz after he used derogatory and sexist language towards Laura Ingraham. At the time, I hadn’t had an opportunity to catch up on today’s news, so I didn’t see this gem, courtesy of conservative talk radio host Mark Belling, who airs daily on WISN-AM (1130).
A Menomonee Falls school official is demanding an apology and retraction by conservative talk show host Mark Belling for calling the official a “whore for the teachers union” earlier this week.Walt Kelly, the attorney for Menomonee School Board member Gina Palazzari, sent his letter on Thursday to Belling and Jeff Tyler, general manager of WISN-AM (1130), which airs Belling’s afternoon show.
“Ms. Palazzari demands an on-air apology and retraction by Mr. Belling and a published apology and retraction by WISN management,” Kelly wrote.
Kelly rightly argued Belling should receive similar treatment to Ed Schultz, but speaking on his radio show, Belling made it clear he’s not sorry for he said, saying, “I will not apologize.”
Apparently Belling has moved on from racism, having called Mexicans “wetbacks” on his show in 2004, to sexism. I’m not sure if that’s progress, but either way Mark Belling is still a big sack of crap.
Dude, ill call a spade a spade, she is a Union Whore! All is proven. I dont care what Josh feels whats right n wrong it is what it is. Your a liberal and dont know it. Cant wait to see the ah lovely little pan cake get charged.

I guess the takeaway from all this is that maga would be perfectly okay with someone calling his mother, his sister, his girlfriend/wife a “whore,” since he thinks it’s A-Okay to use that kind of language when talking about women.
@maga – Because someone isn’t willing to call liberals by disparaging and insulting remarks, doesn’t make them a liberal. In my book, it makes them an honest conservative. In serious debates, where spelling and conduct matter, I’ve eaten neo-cons (psuedo conservatives) like yourself for breakfast. When you have to resort to tactics that have next to nothing to do with the ideas being discussed (i.e. insulting via name calling), you have taken honesty and integrity out of the equation.
Your choice of words and expressed tone tell me, rather clearly, that honest conservative ideology likely goes over your head at this time, in favor of putting your brother down so you can feel bigger.
I hope you feel as big as your righteousness can currently hold. Just remember, if you are not able to stand with fellow Americans, even while disagreeing with their ideas, then you are doing the bidding of enemies for them. The sooner you realize the enemy is within, the sooner you’ll realize conservatives with even an ounce of integrity could never play such a shallow game. Not with all that is on the line.

Whore is a loaded term, meant to insult (in this case, most cases). Such that, it is accurate, by what Maga is saying, to state, “Mark Belling is (literally) Scott Walker’s whore.” If someone not familiar with that term were to ask for definitions and told the definition that suggests Belling sells his body to Scott Walker for sexual favors, in return to better Belling and Walker’s position in life, then perhaps people would dispute that. Then again, Maga would be standing there saying, “we’re just calling a spade a spade. Yes, Belling is Walker’s whore.”
Likewise, Laura I., is a talk slut if we are calling a spade a spade, and not caring about connotations or choice of language. For Laura, like many talk radio personalities goes on and on and on, as if they get off hearing their own voice, and can’t get enough of talking. Thus, shoe fits, doesn’t it?
But, Schultz didn’t apologize for the point he made. I believe (strongly) that he stands by that. Instead he apologized for the language. He owned up to the idea that word selection could’ve been different and he chose a word that rather than emphasizing his point detracts from it, and instead made him look all of 14 years old, in the playground of political debate.
Belling touches on subjects and can discuss them at the level of one going for their Master’s degree, but when he refuses to apologize for language of a juvenile, he reverts back to logic of a 12 year old.
Or dare I say a terrorist. The outcome of a terrorist may be vastly different, but the logic Belling employs here and elsewhere to “make points,” is IMO no different than a terrorist who sees through the prism that most reading have move past dozens of years ago. The prism that will argue forever and a day that divisiveness may be ‘necessary’ to be righteous.
ah, no. belling dont sell himself for the good of himself. He only informs the people of what dirty tricks are being done by others. And he stands up for the person (walker) that is going to do good for the people of Wisconsin, Not just Unions and Teacher’s like Gina has done. Belling informs people for profit. He does it to receive good ratings, which leads to more money for him, the station he works for, and the items he chooses to spend his money on. He clearly shills for Scott Walker and the conservative party in Wisconsin. He does this admittedly, and is not an objective person, without bias, in doing his brand of “sharing information.”
I’m okay with his political leanings and his decision to be a right wing talk show host. As a conservative I can relate to much of what he is discussing, while I don’t agree with all of it. Especially the parts where he resorts to juvenile insults to attempt to beef up his points. For most part, I think of it as funny, unless he persists and tries to make it a point beyond the surface. For the reality is, no Gina is not a whore for the union. You may think so. You are wrong and cannot prove this in a way that is sticking to the INTEGRITY of that word. You can spin “whore” to mean a whole bunch of things, but are stretching the logic.
The Right has dirty tricks and the Left has dirty tricks. Become independent and you’ll see this. You can still maintain conservative principles, but you don’t have to be blind cheerleader for the public players in the game.
The Right is not a silent majority and is instead part of a 2 party minority. More people in this country (including kids, who are people) do not vote, and do not participate in political affairs, even while they are between passionate and involved with daily life of this country, in several ways, i.e. charity, education, military, health, and so on. The MAJORITY doesn’t give a darn about the political BS that Dems and Pubs argue over, but a VERY VOCAL minority does. So much that they get bent out of shape over crap that high schoolers are dealing with – a la “he said she said.” Not tackling issues, cause heaven forbid we treat each other with respect and (dare I say) love. Nope, can’t treat the “other guys” that way because that would be wrong, or it would backfire like it always does, because they play dirty, and they are not as educated about things as we are, and they are ruining this country, and they are for big government, and yadda yadda yadda.
Take a step back from your cheerleading, and you’ll realize, most certainly, the enemy of America is within. At least the only enemy that can truly abolish America.
