Come protest Scott Walker in Riverwest on Friday

From Facebook comes news of a protest event organized by Peace Action Wisconsin this Friday, August 26 from noon until 1:00 p.m. to protest Gov. Scott Walker during an appearance he’ll be making in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood.

The event will take place where Burleigh and Fratney Street intersect, and I’m hoping to be there to take some video.

  1. Let him speak, but while he’s “testilying,” turn your back on him. Wish I could be there.

  2. Go ahead and protest. The AFL-CIO essentially said (I admit I am extrapolating on Trumpka’s remarks) today that they are pulling the plug on national union funding toward a Walker recall.

    Good luck.

    1. I wouldn’t say you’re extrapolating so much as you’re just making stuff up. Trumka said the AFL-CIO hasn’t decided its role yet, which is a far cry from “they are pulling the plug.”

      Nice try though!

      1. Zach’s right, Cameron. You “came” a little too soon.

Sometimes, you really need to mix a little rational thought with all of that wingnut steam constantly building up inside of your head. Do that, and you might keep yourself from jumping to the wrong conclusions.

“Better to remain silent and only be thought the fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.”

      2. The AFL-CIO has bigger fish to fry. They’re going to give all the money to Baldwin for the race for Herb Kohl’s seat because the Democratic party needs to keep Kohl’s seat to keep the majority in the Senate.

As for the potential recall of the governor, you lefties have no candidate, admit it. You’re scrapping the bottom of the barrel. Feingold doesn’t want to do it, Ron Kind is a lazy candidate who will only run if he knows he can win, because he doesn’t want to give up his House seat, Dave Obey is a tired old hack who would lose to Walker, and Kathleen Falk has no appeal outside of Dane County. All this time, since early November, Walker has been raising money, so whatever lame Dem candidate enters the race will be short on time and will get no money from the national big labor special interests.

Now, you can call me a teabagger redneck or whatever you will, but I’m speaking the truth, and some of you know it.

    1. “Yes, a bunch of angry [Americans] yelling outside an inner-city [American] school.”

I do love those optics, Kevin. It’s as American as it gets.

Try developing a little color-blindness, homeboy. It might just serve to bring you some much-needed mental clarity and perspective. Who knows. It might even begin to lead you out of the intellectual wasteland in which you are mired, let’s call it The Wingnut Nation, where wingnuts and teabaggers like yourself so regrettably and mindlessly seek to return America to the 1950s.

      1. So he’s racist because he mentioned race? Got to love you liberals and your “oh, race doesn’t exist” attitude.

    2. You obviously have zero actual knowledge of the big bad scary city, as the name Riverwest apparently means nothing to you.

  3. Ah yes, an INNER-CITY black school. That’s just where Walker and his Waukesha County fans want those kids.
