Bullied teen who made ‘It Gets Better’ video commits suicide

This is heartbreaking…. Jamey Rodemeyer, a 14-year-old high school freshman in Buffalo, N.Y., was bullied. A lot. After years of being called gay slurs at school and being told by anonymous people online that he should die, he killed himself Monday.

Here’s the “It Gets Better” video Jamey Rodemeyer recorded:

My own thoughts on conservative threats towards Walker opponents, public employees

Earlier today Blogging Blue Senior Fellow Jeff Simpson shared his thoughts on a threatening letter that has been mailed to a number of public employees and opponents of Republican Gov. Scott Walker, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t share my own thoughts, as well as some related information regarding the letters.

Under a plan by AT&T, the firm would build a restroom shelter in the park, which also would house [...]

The repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell – servicemember calls his dad to tell him “I am gay” (VIDEO)

Yesterday marked the official end of the U.S. military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy which barred openly gay, lesbian, or bisexual persons from military service. Not surprisingly the world did not come to an end as a result of the official repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, nor did the U.S. armed forces break down.

Pot Meet Kettle

The Wisconsin State Journal had this story about some protestors wearing their welcome thin. This story was meant to take a serious look at the protestors actions at the Capitol, after the latest BeerGate Scandal. The barley and hops shampoo of Robin Vos has left all of the republicans suffering from (no not a 12% [...]
