Another Monday, Another Few Hundred Jobs Lost in Wisconsin
Should we blame the Scott Walker Administration for the layoffs Frontier Airlines is planning in Milwaukee? That’s 213 jobs lost, according to the Milwaukee Jounral Sentinel. Should we blame the Scott Walker Administration for the jobs lost when Thermo Fisher Scientific closes its plant in Two Rivers later this year? That’s 120 jobs according to the Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter. Should we blame the Scott Walker Administration for the potential jobs lost in Stevens Point when they relocate? That’s 250 jobs according to the Stevens Point Journal.
Well, Scott Walker takes credit for every job gained, so he should take the blame for this total of nearly 600 jobs lost, all reported this weekend. No, jobs are not priority #1 for the Walker Administration, unless by that we are to understand that Walker’s intention is to eliminate jobs in the state. I guess he is focused on growing unemployment in Wisconsin?

…increasing the gap between the rich and the poor. Honestly, it speaks magnitudes about people’s faith in government when NO ONE is surprised this happened. So much for those jobs in Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois that he used as part of his over-sensationalized efforts of job creation in Wisconsin.
The Frontier loss is bad, as there is less service into Mitchell Airport, but the Amtrak connection there and the link to Madison will compensate. Oh wait, I forgot…
I’m sure there is more job loss to come. I think it past time I focus on Van Wangaard and his supposed job initiatives.
