This is how the Oakland police handle nonviolent protesters

This is what a rubber bullet to the head looks like, courtesy of the Oakland Police Department.

EDIT: Here’s another photo of what a rubber bullet will do to a protester.

The last time I checked, we all lived in the United States of America, not some two-bit dictatorship where peaceful dissenters were brutally attacked by authorities using tear gas and rubber bullets.

  1. This morning, I heard a caller to the Stephanie Miller show whose eleven year old son saw the news footage of Scott Olsen getting severely injured, and the police firing another tear gas canister at those who rushed to help him. Her son turned to her and said: “Mom? Is this happening in America or somewhere else?”
    ‘Nuff said.

Would you be so supportive if the protesters in question were tea party supporters?
