Scott Walker cancelled a GOP fundraising appearance next week in Wichita, Kansas, (home to Koch Industries world headquarters), as labor unions were gearing up to bring thousands of people to protest the event. Whiles there’s no doubt that the prospect of facing thousands of public sector workers and their allies seems to have made Walker weak in the knees, one also has to wonder if last Tuesdays vote in Ohio has given the GOP and the mega-billionaire Koch brothers pause to consider whether or not they want to be seen with him in public.
I guess nobody knows you when you’re down and out.
i think, someone told him, touring the kochs headquarters on the day the recall officially kicks off would probably not have been the best PR move.
I heard about this from a friend in Wichita.
These guys must realize their union breaking agenda wasn’t such a great idea. They can’t go anywhere these days without being confronted.
I send a BIG thank you to the Kochs, Walker, etc for waking up a sleeping giant!!
