“Wisconsin is a State…that is absolutely riddled with republican frauds”

Is what Reince Priebus meant to say. Instead he got his words mixed up on MSNBC…

Wisconsin is a state “that was absolutely riddled with voter fraud.”

His reinceness is not one who has ever let the truth leak from his weasely lips, ask his former good friend Michael Steele, so it is not surprising.

The problem? A recent study by the nonpartisan Brennan Center for Justice found just seven cases of voter fraud out of three million votes cast in Wisconsin during the 2004 election, a fraud rate of 0.0002 percent. All seven of these cases involved persons with felony convictions who weren’t eligible to vote after being released from prison.

The Priebus response to the actual facts here!

Quick aside here: The big government Wisconsin republicans costly “voter ID” bill wi=ould not have stopped any of these 7 cases from voting.

Finally here are some statistics to put Wisconsin voter fraud in perspective:

Research has found that voters are 39 times more likely to be struck by lightning than commit voter fraud at the polls, and 3,500 times more likely to report a UFO encounter. My own research has found that voters are 3,874,567 times more likely to hear Wisconsin republicans whine about voter fraud than to actually be affected by it. Reince Preibus is 2,445,629 times more likely to star in the next installment of “Revenge of the Nerds” than to be GOP chair when his party wins a presidential election.

PS: In the “You can’t make this stuff up category” Priebus was on MSNBC discuss why the republicans in the House voted to dismantle the Election Assistance Commission, the sole purpose of which is to make sure states meet voting standards that prevent fraud.

  1. Although it wasn’t litigated: Didn’t Randy Hopper commit voter fraud? He didn’t live at his registered address in his district (with his wife). Didn’t he live in Madison (with his mistress)? By the way is she supporting him now, or does he lobby?
