For those who have not seen this, or have some extra time in the next two weeks:
We have 12,000 valid signatures to recall Scott Fitzgerald. We need 5,000 more over the next two weeks, which is completely within our reach given the increasing interest we’re getting from volunteers. As a reminder, we got 3200 signatures the first week, 2150 the second, and 2400 the third.
Our volunteers carry all three petitions (Walker, Kleefisch, and Fitzgerald) so you can add to your Walker total while you help us out.
We have canvassing efforts this weekend in Beaver Dam (meeting at the Dodge County Dems office at 116 Monroe Street on Saturday morning at 10:30 am sharp) and Oconomowoc (email [email protected]), as well as ongoing efforts all over Jefferson County (sign up here).
We need volunteers in Mayville / Lomira to help us finish these last two weeks. Email [email protected] with MAYVILLE in the subject line if you can help in this area.
It’s that time again. Time to fire up the minivan, check the tires, and pack a thermos full of coffee. It’s time for a ROAD TRIP!!! We need your help traveling up to the Wausau area to help the Recall of Senator Pam Galloway finish strong.

Since she was elected, Senator Galloway has marched in lock step with Governor Walker, calling the bill to repeal collective bargaining rights “a big plus for the state” (Cap Times 12/19/2011). With Governor Walker, she voted to cut millions of dollars in school aide from her district and even more for the state. And under her and Governor Walker’s watch, the unemployment rate has continued to rise for both her district and the state as a whole.

The people of Wisconsin deserve better representation and we can help make it happen. Road trips will be leaving every day from the Madison Labor Temple (1602 South Park Street) at 9AM starting this Saturday 12/31 until the end of the circulation period on 1/14 (except on Sunday 1/1). Once you arrive in the Wausau area, you’ll meet up with other volunteers and staff to help collect signatures. Most signature gathering will primarily be done by going door to door for a three hour shift. This puts return time to Madison somewhere between 6PM – 7PM factoring in a stop for gas and a bite to eat.

Thank you so much for all the hard work you’ve done thus far. It’s incredible to think that less than a year ago, we marched around the capitol with 100,000 fellow badgers. And less than 5 months ago, we beat back the Republicans in 5 of 9 Senate Districts. And in less than half the time allotted, we gathered over half a million signatures to recall Governor Walker. Together, we’re taking back Wisconsin, and we’re not done yet!
