The “party of family values,” dontcha know?
Businessman Herman Cain threw his support to Republican presidential contender Newt Gingrich late Saturday.
The move by the former GOP candidate and tea-party favorite comes three days before the Florida primary, at a moment when Gingrich is badly in need of something to rekindle the momentum he gained in the wake of his South Carolina primary victory.
No doubt Herman Cain’s endorsement of Newt Gingrich will help Gingrich shore up his support among adulterers, which had been softening over the past couple of weeks.
Does that mean Charlie Sykes can finally get on board now?
No doubt, a bizzaro situation. Seems to me, Newt’s resurgence into the race was largely a result of Cain’s fall…for sexual harassment/adultery accusations. Newt – who I’ve always thought (and still do) was unelectable due to being an adulterer. And now, Cain endorses him?
And how bad do Republicans have to hate Mormons that Newt is has anything more than single digit support? I’m still shocked McCain got the nomination last time, but Newt with a puncher’s chance?
