Jan Pierce takes a negative turn in 14th District Aldermanic race (UPDATED)

It looks like Jan Pierce is pulling out all the stops to try and beat incumbent Alderman Tony Zielinski in the 14th District Aldermanic race in the City of Milwaukee.

Nasty business, those attack ads…

UPDATE: It’s also worth noting that the video I’ve embedded above is the only video uploaded to Jan Pierce’s YouTube channel at this moment. It’s telling that the first and only video the Pierce campaign has chosen to upload is a negative attack ad.

    1. It’s certainly telling about the kind of campaign Pierce is running down the home stretch. When a campaign feels compelled to go negative, that’s typically not a sign of a campaign that feels it’s winning.

  1. Just out of curiosity, why does Blogging Blue seem to feel love for Zielinski? The man is pretty much a giant tool if you’ve ever had to work with him (and I have) and I’ll never, ever forget his beautiful suggestion as county supervisor to force organ donation from welfare recipients because ‘if they couldn’t contribute to society while they were alive, at least they can after they’re dead.’ (loosely quoted from memory)

I’ve seen the guy try to pass laws that sex offenders would only be able to live in a trailer park at the end of a runway at Mitchell, and he pushes hard on some other pretty reactionary crime stuff. He is by no means a progressive. So I’m genuinely curious, why are you guys pulling for him?

    1. Ben, I didn’t realize I was “pulling” for anyone in that race; I was simply pointing out something I found interesting/curious.

  2. Zach’s correct, Ed’s been the one infatuated with Zielinski, unless of course you consider Zach’s attacks on Pierce as an endorsement for the tool a.k.a. Tony Zielinski

  3. I know this will come as quite a shock to some of you…but I actually talk with Jan Pierce and Anne Weidert when we meet in the neighborhood…and we have had some very pleasant conversations!
