But when you place a person in the ‘final two’ come November there is a chance–even a good chance–that events might occur that will allow the most capable to actually win. E vents from Iran to unemployment to gas prices migth develop in such a way that the nation reacts and votes Republican. At that point do we want the weakest and most bat-crap crazy as the GOP nominee, or one that is opposed to our views but rational as a person as the nominee?
This is something to be thought about and taken seriously.
Not sure what you were doing in 1979 but I know what I was saying, “No one will vote for the crazy old man from Califorina”.
