After The 8 Years Of The Bush/Cheney Disaster, Now You Get Mad?

You didn’t get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

You didn’t get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate Energy policy and push us to invade Iraq.

You didn’t get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn’t get mad when we spent over 800 billion (and counting) on said illegal war.

You didn’t get mad when Bush borrowed more money from foreign sources than the previous 42 Presidents combined.

You didn’t get mad when over 10 billion dollars in cash just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn’t get mad when Bush embraced trade and outsourcing policies that shipped 6 million American jobs out of the country.

You didn’t get mad when they didn’t catch Bin Laden.

You didn’t get mad when Bush rang up 10 trillion dollars in combined budget and current account deficits.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

You didn’t get mad when we let a major US city, New Orleans, drown.

You didn’t get mad when we gave people who had more money than they could spend, the 1%, over a trillion dollars in tax breaks.

You didn’t get mad with the worst 8 years of job creations in several decades.

You didn’t get mad when over 200,000 US Citizens lost their lives because they had no health insurance.

You didn’t get mad when lack of oversight and regulations from the Bush Administration caused US Citizens to lose 12 trillion dollars in investments, retirement, and home values.

You finally got mad when a black man was elected President and decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, job losses by the millions, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, and the worst economic disaster since 1929 are all okay with you, but helping fellow Americans who are sick… Oh, Hell No!

  1. Or…there’s another possibility, we were mad then, AND we’re mad now. The great and powerful Obama was supposed to be different. He was going to be the great uniter. He was all about hope and change. he made all the promises about where we would be at the end of his first term. He said if he failed, he would be a one term president. See ya.

    1. He didn’t anticipate that all the republican closet racists in Congress (and some of the blue dogs) would reject the bills he was trying to get Congress to pass. Your Congressional republicons are as much to blame as President Obama for your lack of hope and dreams, big guy.

        1. There has always been gridlock, but the percentage of bills and appointments in the Senate subjected to cloture votes by the republicons has risen to never before seen levels. You are so righteous ! Can I feel your bicep ?

    1. Unlike most libs, I don’t have any problem whatsoever expressing my loathe for policies of a president I may have voted for in the past. Most of you think Obama walks on water even as he sinks.

    “See ya.” I was under the impression those words from your comment is popular slang, understood to be a good bye, or an intention to leave. Since that apparently didn’t happen, do you really think anyone reading this blog should ever assign any credibility to anything you say? Just stating the obvious. No personal offense intended.

    1. Well smart ass, maybe those words were directed at Obama in reference to the fact that he stated he would be a one term president if his policies failed. As in, “See ya Mr. Obama”. No personal offense intended.

    Regarding the first three words of your comment, while I am sincerely flattered with your kind assessment of my intelligence, you have mistakenly associated my “smart” with the mascot of a political party. Sorry, I am not affiliated with any political party. Been referred to as a DFH on several occasions though.
