  1. A satirical take (based upon recent “events”: http://www.bloggingblue.com/2012/03/13/quote-of-the-day-4/#comment-92931) on the EVER so clever, James Booth, truly a legend in his own mind, possessing a “towering” intellect the likes of which we have not seen here since Notalib and Orlin Sellars:

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you James Booth:

“For [the]sake [of clarity], let’s just realize he was not talking about government [camels]”.

And I like this one from Lincoln:

‘You cannot help [camels] permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.’ ”

James KNOWS this to be true because he read it on the Internet somewhere, probably on Free Republic (OR some other crackpot wingnut/teabagger website).

And EVERYTHING you read on the Internet, especially if you hear it from a Freeper, is TRUE, right, James?

All I can say is that James is a pip. AND really not ready for “prime time”. He most definitely puts the [need to] “ignore” in “ignoramus”.

  2. This Bible quotation has always bothered me since I read a translation from the orignial Aramaic done by an Aramaic speaking scholar in the 1950’s. It seems that the Aramaic symbol for “rope” and “camel” were very similiar and thus easily confused by translators. Perhaps they made rope out of camel hair back then. At any rate “it is easier for a rope to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven” makes a lot more sense, although it is less Surrealistic.

In the interests of transparency I am a small “a” atheist.
