Failed former president George W. Bush: “I’m for Mitt Romney!”

Heh…

“I’m for Mitt Romney,” [George W.] Bush told ABC News this morning as the doors of an elevator closed on him, after he gave a speech on human rights a block from his old home — the White House.

No doubt former president George W. Bush’s endorsement will help Mitt Romney sew up the vote of the key “budget deficit increasing, federal budget ballooning, size of the federal government increasing, trillions of dollars of spending on wars” demographic.

In related news, Mitt Romney is “getting the band back together,” with the “band” being a good number of individuals who advised former President Bush as he presided over massive increases in federal spending, a ballooning federal budget deficit (after inheriting a budget surplus, no less), a massive increase in the size of the federal government, and a massive forfeiture of civil liberties (PATRIOT Act), not to mention the invasions of Iraq (without cause) and Afghanistan, two wars which cost American taxpayers trillions of dollars.

So there you have it folks…if you loved the damage George W. Bush did to our nation and our economy during his eight years in office, then you should love Mitt Romney, because he’s starting to turn into nothing more than a cheap copy of George W. Bush.

  1. It is funny how you NEVER hear the Bush name these days because Republicans know that it just reminds the American people of the catastrophic economic path down which Georgie-boy led us.

And that renders the fact that Mittens is surrounding himself with Bush insiders more than a little ironic, but, hey, Mittens is nothing if not an ironic, human-like, cynical, mendacious, deceptive, delusional vulture capitalist, am I right?

Anyway, back to the “vigorous”, “enthusiastic” George W. Bush “endorsement” of Mittens, framed as it was by the majesty and formality of a single question and answer “session” ended by a closing elevator door. They don’t get much more half-hearted than that, do they?

Compare that endorsement by a former President(admittedly THE worst President in American history), President George W. (“he whose name shall not be spoken”) Bush with the endorsement of President Obama by former President Bill Clinton, the President who left Georgie-boy with the budget surplus that he squandered in an orgy of unfunded war, mandates and tax cuts for the wealthy, all of which led us to the brink of the financial Armaggedon from which President Obama saved us:

I’m proud of our President, and of all that he has accomplished in the face of tremendous obstacles. He is every bit the President, and the man, that President Clinton described him as being when he endorsed him.

    OBAMA 2012 !!!

  2. Funny and prescient words from the Twitterverse:

“When Herman Cain’s endorsement is worth more than the endorsement of the last Republican president, all you can do is sabotage the economy.”
