Teabagger favorite Barbara Espinosa of the radio show “Hair on Fire” called President Barack Obama the nation’s first “monkey president.” While speaking with a caller who called the president “Rabbit Ears” she responded, “I call him a monkey. I don’t believe in calling him the first Black president, I call him the first monkey president.”
Scurrying to justify what she wrote, Espinosa has now stating that calling the president a monkey was a compliment because monkeys are quite intelligent.
She also cut and pasted a bit from Wikipedia about the evolution of monkeys, into her blog, I’m guessing in an effort to turn the table on those elitists who, you know, believe the theory of evolution to be the best explanation for change in species (not a teabagger favorite). Forgetting for a moment that means she’s a monkey as well.
She also has said she got the monkey comparison from an email and didn’t at first recognize its import.
Sound familiar? Local right-wing teabagger Fred Dooley, owner of the blog Real Debate, also explained away his watermelon and fried chicken gaffe by stating he was under the influence of anesthetics.
When all else fails, it was somebody else’s fault.
