As first reported by Root River Siren and blue cheddar, “family values” Republican State Rep. Michelle Litjens has filed for a divorce from her husband.
Litjens’ decision to file for a divorce from her husband comes just a few months after Litjens announced she wouldn’t seek another term in the State Assembly because she wanted to spend more time with her family.
Apparently Litjens’ desire to spend more time with her family didn’t include her soon-to-be ex-husband.
Curiously, the state’s ban on same-sex marriage, which was put in place under the auspices of protecting traditional marriage, didn’t protect Michelle Litjens’ marriage.
Think she was spending time with someone else’s spouse?

The point is to point out the hypocrisy of the “family values” crowd who preach about family values but who can’t live their lives according to their own high standards.
