Tommy Thompson rides without a helmet. Apparently he’s not worried about further damage to his brain.
Does Tommy Thompson have a brain?
Not to mention the exorbitant cost of health care should Thompson get into an accident while riding without a helmet. Not a smart choice. You would think that the Former Secretary of Health and Human Services would know that.

Ed, I’m not sure, but that definitely is something worth looking into.
I’m betting he has a generous pension and government-provided health care thanks to his many, many years on the public dole.
And speaking of helmets, is it just me, or did anybody else have a flashback to that scene in the Return of the Jedi when Luke takes Darth Vader’s mask off? Pasty pudgy face above black costume. Who IS this guy?
