The father was definitely a better man than the son

George Romney, father of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, explaining why he released 12 years of tax returns when he ran for president: “One year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show.”

Mitt Romney, on his refusal to release more than his tax returns from 2010 and 2011 (once 2011’s return is completed): “That’s all that’s necessary for people to understand something about my finances.”

While George Romney believed one year’s worth of tax returns could be “a fluke, perhaps done for show,” I’d argue a presidential candidate releasing only two years worth of tax returns is very clearly a fluke, most definitely done for show.

  1. Listen WILLARD ROMMEY is a toxic maniac! everybody with a IQ over 50 knows damn well he’s a crooked ass businessman! He doesn’t want to shine a light on his tax returns for good reason!!!! Will this make republicans think twice??? hell no!!! republicans would vote for Hitler if they thought he could defeat OBAMA!

  2. Sequels in American tradition are too often afterthoughts, comparing to the original in hope but seldom in substance.

  3. Sort of like Obama refusing to release his schools transcripts……to me what is in them is a lot more important than what a persons wealth is, who cares how much money someone has. But knowing how someone did in college, academically does matter.
