The speech you may not have seen from the NAACP National Convention (VIDEO)

Yesterday I wrote a bit about Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s speech to the NAACP’s National Convention, and I noted how laughable and deluded Romney’s statement that he’d better represent African-Americans than President Obama is.

Obviously Romney’s speech to those gathered at the NAACP National Convention wasn’t the only speech given, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t post video of the speech given by Rev Dr. William Barber, President of the North Carolina NAACP. The main theme of Re Dr. Barber’s speech was, “if we ever needed to vote we sure do need to vote now,” and it’s worth spending a few minutes to watch.

H/T to Zuma Bound for emailing me a link to the DailyKos diary linked above.

  1. I simply ask anyone reading this blog go watch Rev. Barber he truly understands what the republicans stand for and some people are willing to do for evi! The sick pathetic republican party and that transparent scam WILLARD ROMMEY tried to do can’t stand! Isn’t a shame many evangelical republicans somehow mysteriously LOSE THEIR CHRISTIANITY totally kick Jesus’s teaching out the window when their politicians go on war path on the poor (MY BAD THE NON REPUBLICAN POOR) and minorities! Only a blind cold blooded fool couldn’t see what WILLARD ROMMEY was trying to pull!! And republicans always get highly upset and angry because minorities particularly black people vote democrat!! wow!! There are black people in the republican party about 10% according to wikipedia, how in the name of CHRIST a black person or a gay person could join that racist, homophobic, sexest party is beyond my comprehension!!! I guess those groups joined for the gops phoney religious stance, my mother and stepfather were black republicans!! DAMN!! because of absurd nonsensical religious issues the gop claim are important to them! RIGHT!! it’s about getting ignorant people to vote for you.
