  1. Great catch. Charlie Sykes, Scott Walker, Paul Ryan, Ron Johnson, and the rest of the wingnuts will not be happy.

  2. OMG…A Republican canonized conservative who supports unions, collective bargaining, and tax increases?

    1. I know, right?

Nowadays Ronald Reagan wouldn’t be able to get elected dogcatcher as a Republican, given how radically to the right the Republican Party has veered over the past 20 years.

  3. Here’s an interesting read and maybe inspiration for one of your upcoming articles. It would be nice to hammer it home for not only Ryan but all the Republicans.

A snippet: ” Mr. Reagan is not a champion of capitalism, but a conservative in the worst sense of that word—i.e., an advocate of a mixed economy with government controls slanted in favor of business rather than labor (which, philosophically, is as untenable a position as one could choose—see Fred Kinnan in Atlas Shrugged, pp. 541-2). This description applies in various degrees to most Republican politicians, but most of them preserve some respect for the rights of the individual. Mr. Reagan does not.”
