Arkansas Republican State Representative: slavery was a “blessing in disguise”

Here’s what Arkansas Republican State Rep. Jon Hubbard wrote about slavery in his 2009 book “Letters To The Editor: Confessions Of A Frustrated Conservative.”

“the institution of slavery that the black race has long believed to be an abomination upon its people may actually have been a blessing in disguise.”

Hubbard also wrote that African-Americans were better off than they would have been had they not been captured and shipped to the United States to become property.

And the Grand Army of the Republic kicking treasonous Confederate ass was an even bigger blessing.

WOW, only an imperialist would think colonizing countries enslaving their people, taking the resources for white wealth would be a blessing. Republicans like to think of themselves as the most religious, but they are the most hate filled people i have ever seen. they have no tolerance for anyone that does not believe in their doctrine. these people scare me greatly.
