Dear Senator Ron Johnson,

Tammy Baldwin is not an idiot and neither is the electorate. But when you say things like this about Senator-elect Baldwin:

“Hopefully I can sit down and lay out for her my best understanding of the federal budget because they’re simply the facts…Hopefully she’ll agree with what the facts are and work toward common sense solutions.”

And this about the electorate:

“If you aren’t properly informed, if you don’t understand the problems facing this nation, you are that much more prone to falling prey to demagoguing solutions. And the problem with demagoguing solutions is they don’t work,” Johnson said. “I am concerned about people who don’t fully understand the very ugly math we are facing in this country.”

Well, then you, sir, appear to be misinformed.

Sincerely,

Lisa

Following your lead as acceptable practice for WI blog commenting, my repeated comment (slightly revised) from CogDis:

If Tammy followed RoJo’s business advice, and happened to not presently be involved in a personal partnership, she could be off to seek and to marry some wealthy boss’s daughter, herself.

Oh the sweet and delicious irony, hey RoJo (I know, totally lost on him).

  2. Senator Ron Johnson is the biggest political embarassment in Wisconsin…and considering what we’ve seen here since January 2011…that is quite an accomplishment for the Senator.

My advice to Tammy Baldwin is to say and do the exact opposite of anything Ron Johnson says or does.

Geez, what an embarrassment to WI. Russ, we miss you.

Wait, Mr. Less-Than-One-Term wants to explain how the federal budget works to a woman who has been in Congress for 13 years? Really?

  6. Here’s how I envision “Sunspots” Johnson trying to explain the federal budget to Senator-elect Tammy Baldwin:

“Listen honey, I know you women aren’t used to having any real responsibility – at least not the women in my life – so sit down, bite your tongue, and let me explain how the federal budget works.”

    • KAH says:

I think it would be more like, “The budget is about MONEY, that paper your husband gives you to buy groceries…what do you mean you don’t have a husband?”

I had prepared in case of a Tommy Thompson win by comforting myself with the thought that Tommy’s head would explode at being referred to as ‘the junior senator from Wisconsin’, bad enough by itself until he realized that he was junior to this clown.

Do people realize that while in college, Senator-Elect Baldwin majored in government and mathematics?

As for ignorant – the 10 best educated states voted for Obama. 9 of the 10 least educated states voted for Romney/Ryan. There is a story of ignorance and voting to be learned from this, but it’s *NOT* the one Ron Johnson believes 🙂

  11. Kelly James says:

Does “best educated” really mean best at committing voter fraud? Wow, what a cool statistic! So, you blogging blue geniuses define intelligence as skilled at cheating? Impressive.

Curiously, Obama lost in every state that requires a photo ID to be produced before voting. A list of closely contested state elections with no voter ID which narrowly went to Obama include: Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Pennsylvania.

Voter fraud – still a felony in all 50 states. How fitting that Obama was re-elected by a bunch of felons.
