Dear Senator Johnson, Tammy Baldwin is not an idiot

Dear Senator Ron Johnson,

Tammy Baldwin is not an idiot and neither is the electorate. But when you say things like this about Senator-elect Baldwin:

“Hopefully I can sit down and lay out for her my best understanding of the federal budget because they’re simply the facts…Hopefully she’ll agree with what the facts are and work toward common sense solutions.”

And this about the electorate:

“If you aren’t properly informed, if you don’t understand the problems facing this nation, you are that much more prone to falling prey to demagoguing solutions. And the problem with demagoguing solutions is they don’t work,” Johnson said. “I am concerned about people who don’t fully understand the very ugly math we are facing in this country.”

Well, then you, sir, appear to be misinformed.

Sincerely,

Lisa

He’s really talking about himself. (Borderline Personality Disorder)

    1. Following your lead as acceptable practice for WI blog commenting, my repeated comment (slightly revised) from CogDis:

If Tammy followed RoJo’s business advice, and happened to not presently be involved in a personal partnership, she could be off to seek and to marry some wealthy boss’s daughter, herself.

Oh the sweet and delicious irony, hey RoJo (I know, totally lost on him).

  2. Senator Ron Johnson is the biggest political embarassment in Wisconsin…and considering what we’ve seen here since January 2011…that is quite an accomplishment for the Senator.

  3. My advice to Tammy Baldwin is to say and do the exact opposite of anything Ron Johnson says or does.

  4. Wait, Mr. Less-Than-One-Term wants to explain how the federal budget works to a woman who has been in Congress for 13 years? Really?

  5. Here’s how I envision “Sunspots” Johnson trying to explain the federal budget to Senator-elect Tammy Baldwin:

“Listen honey, I know you women aren’t used to having any real responsibility – at least not the women in my life – so sit down, bite your tongue, and let me explain how the federal budget works.”

    1. I think it would be more like, “The budget is about MONEY, that paper your husband gives you to buy groceries…what do you mean you don’t have a husband?”

  6. I had prepared in case of a Tommy Thompson win by comforting myself with the thought that Tommy’s head would explode at being referred to as ‘the junior senator from Wisconsin’, bad enough by itself until he realized that he was junior to this clown.

  7. Do people realize that while in college, Senator-Elect Baldwin majored in government and mathematics?

    1. And she served on the House Budget Committee for six years, so she has extensive knowledge of how the federal budget works.

    2. If she majored in those subjects she should be able to add, in which case, she just doesn’t care that the numbers don’t add up and continues to vote accordingly.

  8. As for ignorant – the 10 best educated states voted for Obama. 9 of the 10 least educated states voted for Romney/Ryan. There is a story of ignorance and voting to be learned from this, but it’s *NOT* the one Ron Johnson believes 🙂

  9. Does “best educated” really mean best at committing voter fraud? Wow, what a cool statistic! So, you blogging blue geniuses define intelligence as skilled at cheating? Impressive.

Curiously, Obama lost in every state that requires a photo ID to be produced before voting. A list of closely contested state elections with no voter ID which narrowly went to Obama include: Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Pennsylvania.

Voter fraud – still a felony in all 50 states. How fitting that Obama was re-elected by a bunch of felons.

    1. There is no evidence of voter fraud. Refer here: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/12/washington/12fraud.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
Requiring photo IDs to vote is a Republican strategy to keep minorities, the poor, and senior citizens from voting. Here is why it has been struck down by the Supreme Court. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120327092258AAxpLn8
On the other hand, election fraud is rampant, which is why George W. Bush was president for 8 years. He was never elected at all. Reference here ===> http://www.commondreams.org/views01/0120-04.htm

        1. thanks for the link forgot…the topic is on my list of things to cover this coming week.

        2. FMSN

          ” No evidence?” ( of voter fraud ) ” Really? Then what’s this? ”

It’s a bunch of insignificant, penny ante bullshit that hysterical, anonymous blog commenters such as yourself are desperate to turn into a statewide voter suppression scheme. Thanks for asking.

          1. It’s recent evidence I provided to refute John Richard Bailey’s comment that “there is no evidence of voter fraud.” That it is insignificant is your opinion. But to me it represents valid votes being discounted by fraudulent ones. It surely does exist.

            1. FMSN,

Bullshit. Ten people charged out of what, 3 million votes cast in the 2012 election? Sweet Jesus, man, get a freakin’ grip. Haven’t you got a real problem or two to worry about?

  10. My next big goal politically: unseat that horse’s ass, Ron Johnson. (well, not me personally … you know what I mean)
