Gov. Scott Walker “confident” he’s not target of John Doe investigation

Yeah, just keep telling yourself that, Gov. Walker (emphasis added).

Gov. Scott Walker said Monday in an interview with The Associated Press that he remains “absolutely” confident that he is not a subject of a criminal investigation involving former aides in his Milwaukee County office.

Walker, speaking to the AP at his Capitol office, said none of the emails or other evidence revealed by prosecutors for the first time in court last week during the sentencing of his former deputy chief of staff suggests that he’s a target of the investigation.

Walker also said he had no knowledge of anyone in his Milwaukee County executive’s office doing illegal campaign work and if he had, he would have stopped it.

Walker’s assertion he had no knowledge of anyone in his County Executive’s office doing illegal campaign work is an absolute farce, as Walker himself was among those who received emails sent between his gubernatorial campaign staff and his County Executive staff as part of an effort to make sure the two groups had “good coordination.”

I have a hard time believing Gov. Walker had absolutely no knowledge of the illegal behaviors being engaged in by two groups of his closest confidants and advisors, especially considering Gov. Walker was himself privy via email to some of those illegal behaviors.

  1. Oh, I believe him. I am certain it is beyond Walker’s comprehension that it was illegal for his County and Campaign staffs to be working hand in glove.

Fortunately, reality has been encroaching on Conservatives’ beliefs lately.

    1. Oh, I think Scotty can stand himself just fine. It’s the basement dwellersin the 262 that stand with this criminal that I don’t understand.

  2. Slide 73 of Landgraf’s broadside at the Rindfleisch sentencing hearing, from Keith Gilkes “…you are the only person capable of overseeing these people,” was devastating. In the opinion of the campaign manager, Rindfleisch was effectively acting in many respects as County Executive.

It supports what Republican Mark Neumann had alleged from county documents in his 2010 primary against Walker: “Neumann accuses Walker of working part time so he can campaign” http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/93965284.html

If we’re lucky, Gov. Walker’s defense team might argue him right into a fraud indictment. Every time, he claims he doesn’t know, it’s more evidence that he was cashing his County Executive paychecks, while being AWOL from the actual job of transacting county business.

The link below is to a Walker interview with the JS editorial board in 2010. At the 42 second mark he says, “….anything that happens with the County, the buck stops with me.”

  3. Just to throw this out there. What if Scott Walker really is not the subject of the John Doe hearing he is talking about? Could there be another investigation that we are unaware of?

    1. It also might be witness tampering/intimidation with Russell, Rindfleisch, and others at Russell’s trial next week.

  4. Uh huh… and the Easter bunny will be comin’ to your office this spring to deliver you a basket of candy, too…

Just like… YOU, DEAR GOVERNOR, HAD NO IDEA THAT THE “DISHONORABLE” JUDGE MICHAEL GABLEMAN DONATED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO YOUR CAMPAIGN JUST DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTING HIM TO THE BENCH IN WISCONSIN, RIGHT? GOV??? AND EVEN NOW, YOUR OFFICE HAS NO CLUE THAT MICHAEL GABLEMAN IS ACTUALLY CHARGING THE TAX PAYERS OF WISCONSIN TO PROTECT HIS LIEING, MANIPULATING, DISHONORABLE MACHINATIONS FROM CRIMINAL CHARGES AS WELL AS THE PUBLIC HUMILIATION THIS PARASITE DESERVES.
I THINK I’M GOING TO START A PETITION TO “RECALL” MICHAEL GABLEMAN… IT STICKS IN THE CRAW OF ALL HONEST PEOPLE WHEN A SCAMMER LIKE GABLEMAN HAS THE AUDACITY TO SIT ON ONE OF THE HIGHEST BENCHES IN OUR COUNTRY WITH A SORDID BACKGROUND LIKE GABLEMAN HAS. NOT TO MENTION THE HORRIBLE DAMAGES GABLEMAN DID WHILE APPOINTED TO A JUDGESHIP IN BURNETT COUNTY, WISCONSIN. IT DIDN’T TAKE HIM LONG THERE TOO FIGURE OUT WHERE THE “MONEY” WAS AND WHO TO “FAVOR” WHILE ON THE BENCH, AGAIN, TO FINANCE AND SUPPORT HIS ILLEGAL ACTIONS. ACTUALLY TAKING AWAY PEOPLES’ CHILDREN TO GUARANTEE “TRIBAL” SUPPORT IN THAT COUNTY. TRULY SICKENING. YEA, A PETITION I BELIEVE IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET RID OF THIS “POND SCUM” JUDICIAL “BOSS HOGG”.
