Seen being sold at Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s rally on Friday, November 2 at State Fair Park:

UPDATE: For the sake of clarity, the image I’ve provided above was sent to me by a source I trust implicitly, and there’s been additional confirmation on Facebook that the button was being sold by individuals at the rally. The source in question purchased the button from a vendor inside the State Fair grounds as the individual in question waited in line for security.

UPDATE #2: As noted by someone on Twitter, a Error Level Analysis of the photo shows it hasn’t been digitally altered.

  2. George Perlstein says:

Just when I thought Romney hit rock bottom he slips under the rock with this racist agenda! Disgusting!!

  3. Carole Walsh says:

It is a shame a man like this has anyone who wotes for him, the reason you know that he is lieing is that his lips are mooving, It is a sad day to see the hate and race bating that this COP party has done and how they will hurt so many people. I pray every day that he loses this race, as it scares me to death of what is going to happen to the elderly, I do their taxes and see how little they have to live on. If Rommey is elected I would say that the end of the world is comning according to the Bible. God help us all and have mercy on the elderly and the poor.

Zach: Do you have this? Can you confirm that it was sold at the State Fair rally? Inside or out? Do you know anything else? It is just so disturbing. Please follow-up.

    • Dan, I don’t have the physical button, but I’ll vouch for the source that sent me the image included in my post. I’ve also updated the post itself to reflect the additional information I’ve been given.

      • Dan Schley says:

I wish that person would take it to a public media source to show it is real. The internet is a difficult place to prove anything these days. If it was I, I would have called the police on site over and ask for hate crime charges. It just makes me sick. We have to work hard to get Wisconsin back to the progressive place I have known my whole life.

  6. Andrew Lederer says:

Out of curiousity, do we know who was selling it?

  7. Khris Covey says:

Racism .. I am 56 and white. We do not need him in office.. all wrong for the American people… just waiting for the crack update.. I am posting on Facebook and calling the mediais he needs to be exposed national on this.. he’s nothing but a liar

  8. Derrick says:

    Eeeewwwwww! Really????? WTF????????

  9. jeannette says:

    Is this for real?

  10. Tim says:

    Why am I not surprised

  11. What verification do you have of this pin and how do you know who was responsible for it? It could be a Demo ploy, couldn’t it?

  12. Bridget Losch says:

So, I totally can believe this button was sold, but I’m having a hard time proving it to someone. Any tips on where I can find the proof?

    • Daniel says:

I am the creator of the button

I released the button as well as one during the DNC that says once you vote black you never go back. I have all original workable files for both buttons. I like controversy. What can I say. I’m very good at creating it.
The side of the button reads my name. As the artist. And my email
If you have any questions direct them to me
Also says made in USA and limited edition. This is real as it gets and people bought them like hot cakes

Blatantly Racist: It’s The Mormon Thing To Do!

  14. CD says:

Is this for real? Do you have confirmation it was being sold by Romney forces? I would like some back up on this.

  15. Georgiana Steele-Waller says:

The most racist and bigoted elements in this country have taken over the Republican party, of Lincoln, Eisenhower and others. This racists behaviour is an attempt to return this country to the 19th century. Women are objectified and abused with full compliance of the government if these insane religious right people get anywhere in a position of power. How dare they push their beliefs onto every citizen of this Nation? they should be disbanded as the Communist party and John Birch Society were. As the KKK is driven underground again! Putting women in jail for having an abortion? What business is it of anyone’s but the woman and her doctor? these people have to be destroyed and scattered!

  16. April says:

    O….M….G….. No subtlety there, huh?

  17. Gelgamark says:

Oh no black people will be wanting reparations for this LOL.

  18. Well, that’s pretty awful since no African American would ever vote for Obama because of his race.

  19. jeff says:

U are full of it. U libs are desperate and pathetic. So u have a “trusted source” but won’t disclose who it is nor do you have a physical button. And misteriously there is no picture of it being sold at the fair. I call massive smelly B.S.

    • jeff, you don’t have to believe it, but it’s been confirmed by more than one person. Look, I’m not saying the Romney campaign itself was selling these buttons; I’m simply noting the fact that they were being sold at the rally.

  20. Ruth says:

If you ask my opinion, it looks like someone who is ANTI-Romney printed those buttons up as a slam against him. Absolutely absurd that you are all thinking Romney and Romney supporters are selling and buying these. These buttons were obviously meant as a joke, making fun of Romney supporters.

    • Ruth, that’s certainly a possibility, but there’s also the very real possibility that there are some racists who support Mitt Romney. If you think there aren’t people who dislike the president because of his skin color you’re kidding yourself.

      • Glenda says:

Zach, it’s also important to note than Romney has never, not ever, condemned the worst comments, notations, and out and out racists schreeces from the far right element of the Republican party. I think it says a great deal about his character, or lack of it.
